California School Board Ensures Critic is"Monitored" By District Personnel.

States that critic "...spreads falsehoods and stirs trouble constantly".

A recent response to a California Public Records Act (PRA) request seems to show that a Trustee of the Desert Sands Unified School District (DSUSD) ensured that district personnel were “monitoring” at least one of the district’s critics, defamed said critic, and divulged employee information to a local propaganda outlet.

Emails released in response to a California PRA request show that DSUSD Trustee Tricia Pearce (Area 3) wrote the district’s Public Information Officer, Mary Perry, in the office of the Superintendent, asking if they [the district?] were “monitoring” the substack of a critic that often speaks to the horrid CRT, “Covid” response, and Transgender policies implemented by the district.

The critic, Kenny Snell, who is also a 26-year veteran teacher with the district, writes a substack that tracks district policies and actions and supplies primary sources to show how the DSUSD skirts and/or hides the truth of their policies from the public.

For instance, in an early article (and speech to the board), Snell mentioned the unreliability of PCR tests for “Covid-19”, which he backed up with a video interview with Kari Mullis—the Nobel Prize winning inventor of the PCR process. The CDC and FDA revoked the EUA for PCR tests just a couple of days later.

In an email dated 11/26/2021 to DSUSD Public Information Officer Mary Perry, in the office of the Superintendent, Pearce inquires as to if the DSUSD was monitoring Snell’s substack, found at kennys.substack.com. The specific link forwarded by Pearce to Perry was to Snell’s article titled Hidden In Plain Sight which discussed how the $5.5 million Educator Effectiveness Block Grant that the board approved was really Critical Race Theory (CRT) training for the entire DSUSD staff over 5 years.

Pearce’s email goes on to ask if the information Snell presented in his article, about Consultants earning $300,000 per year for three years was accurate.

This should give every voter pause in November about any board member up for reelection—birds of a feather do flock together— for a number of reasons.

The fact that Pearce refers to a five-year grant as a “3 year grant”, and that she has to ask about the accuracy of Snell’s information regarding the pay of consultants, which utilized the district’s own graphic, shows either an astonishing ignorance about the grant she herself voted for, or a serious lack of reading comprehension—both unacceptable traits in an elected official. Another area of concern is the nonchalant way Pearce seems to defame Snell as “inappropriate” and that he “spreads falsehoods and stirs trouble constantly”. Pearce has never pointed to any specific “falsehood” that Snell had supposedly spread, and his only offense seems to be that he is brave enough to question horrid district policies at board meetings and through writing by utilizing primary sources, as is his First Amendment right as a voter in the district.

Mary Perry then replies to Pearce that the district is already “monitoring” Snell.

One should question just what is meant by “monitoring” and how many hours (and how much money) does the district spend to “monitor” citizens that dare exercise their First Amendment Rights.

A previous email dated 7/26/2021 from Mary Perry, to Kelly May Vollmar (now DSUSD Superintendent) and CC’d to then DSUSD Superintendent, Scott Bailey (now retired) does show that they began “monitoring” Snell after his seventh article, immediately after his first comment to the board. In the email, Perry identifies Snell as a teacher in the district, as opposed to being a concerned citizen, and links Snell’s seventh substack article titled A True Report of the DSUSD Board Meeting, wherein Snell gives a report with details and sources that the local Gannet News propaganda outlet, The Desert Sun, had left out of their article.

It also seems that board member Pearce also had a comfy relationship with the Gannet News propaganda outlet.

In an email dated 1/3/2022, Pearce informs a Desert Sun reporter that Snell was behind the effort to have her recalled, which she assumed to be so since his name was on the return address of the certified mail that properly served her recall papers. It does not appear that either Pearce or the reporter bothered to check the Registrar of Voters, nor the California Secretary of State pages, for accurate information, instead they both relied on what they assumed to be true. For instance, it does not appear that either are aware that a proponent of a recall is not allowed to serve papers to the official being recalled. Pearce’s Notice of Intent to Recall had 17 proponents.

In the same email, Pearce informs the reporter that Snell is “a teacher on leave from LQHS”. Pearce then goes on to intimate that Snell is on leave due to a contrary stance on vaccines and testing by writing “Some teachers are on leave because they won’t get vaccinated or do weekly testing but you didn’t hear that from me”.

While it has been confirmed that Snell was on leave from LQHS, it was due to the inability of the district to accommodate for his disability and had nothing to do with vaccines or testing. Pearce is not only herself a purveyor of falsehoods, of disinformation and misinformation, she is also an elected official giving private employee information to a news reporter! For what purpose? Was she hoping for a hit piece?

It appears that this egregious “monitoring” culture trickles down from the Biden Crime family, which will seemingly use any means necessary to silence dissent. Documents released by Senate Republicans, and covered by Casey Harper of Just The News show that the DHS monitors US citizens and lies about it. From Harper:

“Responding to a question from a reporter ‘Will American citizens be monitored?’ Secretary Mayorkas responded unequivocally ‘No,’ adding that ‘We at the Department of Homeland Security don’t monitor American citizens,’” the letter said. “He went on to suggest the Board would be concentrating on foreign threats – ’addressing the threat of disinformation from foreign state adversaries [and] from the cartels.’ Yet talking points prepared by Ms. Jankowicz, the Board’s then–Executive Director appear to show that the Department does in fact monitor American citizens and that the Board’s work is concentrated on domestic threats.”

Lenin had the Cheka. Stalin had the NKVD. Hitler had the Gestapo. Mao had the Red Guard. Biden has the alphabet agencies. And all of them relied on fear to turn citizens into snitches and against each other. Does this behavior, this culture of spying, trickle down to the local level? It appears so.

Does the culture of spying trickle down even further? Do school site administrators also “monitor” their teachers/staff during their non-contract hours? Besides paid district personnel, do these administrators have other methods of “monitoring” their staff? Is the next step to uncritically bow to internet Karens? Do they use “younger people”? Will they accept any information and label that fits their world view (that was given to them by mainstream propaganda outlets) without verification of the truth? Will they act on that information uncritically and without vetting their sources (snitches) to the detriment of their employees?

Could anyone that has spoken up to their school board be subject to the same monitoring? Public Records Act requests can tell quite a story.
