The stench from the CRT rot is never hard to find in the Desert Sands Unified School District (DSUSD). Open up any board meeting agenda and you’re sure to find something. Care to give that premise a go with me? Just be prepared, the stench can be overwhelming.
Let’s start with the DSUSD September 6, 2022 board meeting, and then scroll down to item 24.4, which is “Master Development and Services Agreement with Battelle for Kids.” Click on that agenda item and you’ll discover that Asst. Superintendent (personnel services) Marcus Wood was kind enough to provide us with a rationale for hiring consultant Battelle for Kids. Wood was even gracious enough to admit the hire was to extend the influence of CRT. Do you see?
Diversity, equity, and inclusion… those that know CRT, know that DEI is a major component of spreading the CRT rot in America’s public schools.
We must now preempt the school board and their administrators who will cover their ears and chant “we don’t have CRT, we don’t have CRT….” To do so, let’s check with self-proclaimed DEI expert and consultant Cherrie Davis over at Shift Forward.
All clear? DEI is not only CRT, it is so much more and includes gender!
Great, now let’s move on. According to the Statement of Work, Battelle For Kids will receive $33,000 to provide administrators of the DSUSD with deliverables in the area of the “Portrait [of a Graduate] Design Process”. Veteran readers know what comes next— grab your shovel it’s digging time!
Battelle for Kids (BFK) is a 501(c)(3) organization, which means it is a non-profit political advocacy group, EIN: 31-1781583, and based in Hilliard, Ohio. According to BFK’s website, it got it’s start with a grant from the Battelle Memorial Institute and “was established in 2001 by the Ohio Business Roundtable to advance student achievement and growth in Ohio.”
The following is a description of BFK provided by causeiq.com:
“Client solutions: Battelle for Kids supports educators in the design and implementation of 21st century learning and assessment experiences that equip every student for success as a lifelong learner and contributor. Our consulting approach consists of a blended model with both in-person and virtual professional learning experiences through our theory of action that includes vision, strategy and implementation.vision: bfk supports school system leaders in the development of their visionary portrait of a graduate outlining their commitment to rigorous academic content and the intentional integration of 21st century learning competencies. Strategy: bfk supports school system in strategic planing, human capital, and leadership capacity building, facilitation, professional learning and support services. Implementation: bfk supports school systems in the implementation of strategies to achieve the vision of 21st century learning through professional development with teachers (e.g., in curriculum, instruction and assessment), technology and data quality solutions to take programs to scale and with fidelity, engaging products and other professional services.”
Well, that doesn’t sound so bad to the layman does it? The key in that description seems to be “21st century learning”… what the heck is that? Do you get the feeling it might not be what is purported to be?
We’ll get to 21st century learning in a moment, but first take a look at the causeiq website, and see who contributes to BFK.
Oh joy! Half a million from Zuckerbergs! The same Zuckerbergs that helped rig the 2020 election with hundreds of millions of dollars to fund election and voter fraud.
Gosh, I want to dig right into who else is involved in this non-profit, but let’s discuss 21st century learning competencies before digging into the 990s.
First we’ll head over to Forbes—yes, fake news and secondary source, but they quote Battelle For Kids as a source.
Well… see anything concerning? Considering the seeming infatuation that education has these days with aiding and abetting grooming, yeah number four could be worrisome.
But what should stand out is #2, “More leadership: opportunities to serve and make a difference.” Consider who is pushing this, and what places like democrat run California consider student civic engagement to be. In short, California seeks to create unthinking activists based on the Marxist, embezzling, DNC ATM, Black Lives Matter model. For reference, here is a past article unpacking the California State Seal of Civic Engagement.
Also, #3 “More work-based learning,” is intended to eliminate all standardized testing.
On to the 990s! Form 990 is what 501(c)(3) non-profits are required to file with the IRS, you can locate BFK’s here.
First point of interest is in the Schedule O supplemental information. There we learn that Battelle Memorial Institute (BMI) and the Ohio Business Roundtable owns the power of appointment for directors on the BFK board. In fact, many directors serve on both BMI and BFK. Just to point out that glaring linkage.
Part III Line 4b confirms what BFK and the DSUSD both claim, that BFK makes Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (unless you think “wrong”, then you’re not “included”) predominant in their non-profit model.
Again, keep in mind that a DEI expert has explicitly stated that DEI is in fact Critical Race Theory, but so much more. But, we are in the upside down world where “anti fascists” are the real fascists and “anti-racist” are the real racists. Just take a gander at the DEI Officer for the Department of Defense:
The 990s are also useful to see who is involved with Battelle For Kids. First up is CEO Karen Garza, which the non-profit pays $425,303 a year. Karen had previously been the superintendent for two school districts, Houston and Fairfax, both of which she left with controversy and budget problems.
More interesting is Director Richard Celeste (D-Ohio). Celeste is the former Governor of Ohio, was appointed Ambassador to India by Clinton, has been on the Council of Foreign Relations (if you know, you know), was in charge of the DNC healthcare campaign in 1993, and was tapped to “expand Covid testing” during the plandemic—surely that was a grift that increased his net worth. Deep state democrat.
There are a few other democrat types that are involved with BFK, but it would take another article to do a complete dive into everyone, suffice it to say, there are no MAGA representatives anywhere near BFK. Since BFK is so intertwined with the Battelle Memorial Institute, we should head over to opensecrets.com.
Just a real quick point of interest first. If you check out the 990 for BMI, you’ll discover that they have quite a diverse interest—they also operate, or have operated, through other entities that they control, in the fields of pharma, labs, venture capitalism, health and research.
So, let’s stick with BMI when checking out opensecrets. In 2021, BMI spent $1,170,000 on lobbying and were ranked 630 in spending out of 8,194 lobbying groups. The employees of BMI give to democrats 66% of the time and 43.75 % of those employees have previously held government jobs.
BMI has also lobbied for just about every Biden disaster that has been put on the table, including the infrastructure bill and Build Back Better. As for politicians, well, take a look.
Tim Ryan is currently running for Senate in Ohio and is your typical screeching, virtue-signaling democrat. Since 2020, he has of course taken up the defund the police stance (which democrats now strangely deny ever doing). In fact, Ryan has such a problem with police, that police now call him dangerous.
Now that we have shown that Battelle is true blue, pushing for racist true blue causes, let’s put the final nail in this communist coffin. What do they teach (train) and what do they push?
Luckily, BFK tells us—which they always do if we bother to look. BFK holds an annual event called EdLeader21. When taking a look at the program for 2022, you’ll come across a session by the National Equity Project. The NEA pushes an organization called LiberatoryDesign.com, which was founded by (mostly) members of the NEA—more grift.
The managing director of NEA wrote this lovely piece in 2020, titled “It’s Not Complicated — White People Must Do Their Part to Dismantle White Supremacy.”
I could tell you all about it, but wow, let me just show you.
These are the types of people “training” DSUSD school administrators, and keep in mind I have only scratched the surface here. Is it any wonder that DSUSD is populated with administrators that are, in essence, vaccine salesman for an experimental gene-therapy clot shot? How are they not worried about claims on their liability insurance after the release of Pfizer documents (the ones they wanted to hide for 75 years) is beyond me. Or that the same administrators clung to their masks despite the overwhelming amount of peer reviewed studies that say how bad they were (compared to none that show benefits)? Is it any wonder there are DSUSD administrators that have chucked critical thinking in favor of being a talking parrot and will believe anything some internet troll (i.e. Antifa and/or Teacher Union “activists”) tells them.
So go on DSUSD, tell us again how there is no CRT in the district—put it on TV again even. We won’t be mad, but we will point and laugh at you… so long as we’re not knocked-out by the stench of the CRT rot that is arising from the DSUSD like gas in a swamp.
Awesome Kenny!
